Dr. Bryon K. Evans obtained his Bachelor of Science in biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Masters of Science degree in biology from North Carolina Central University, summa cum laude, and Medical Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Evans completed his training in adult psychiatry at New York University Medical Center in New York; his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and his forensic psychiatry fellowship at Emory University. Dr. Evans is triple board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Evans is the Service Director of Riverwoods Hospital in Riverdale, GA, an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Morehouse School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences where he serves as the Course. He is a consulting psychiatrist and treating clinician for the National Football League (NFL) and Atlanta Braves, a staff psychiatrist at Ridgeview Institute and Riverwoods Hospital, and consults to multiple Atlanta area hospitals. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Academy of Psychiatry and the law.
Francette Bernard, NP-C
Ms. Francette Bernard, NP-C earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clayton State University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University, where she graduated summa cum laude and magna cum laude respectively. Additionally, Ms. Bernard holds two undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Linguistics from Port-au-Prince, Haiti where she graduated with honors.
Ms. Bernard has had extensive training in both psychiatry and family medicine. Ms. Bernard spent seven years as a charge nurse where she managed psychiatry patients of all age groups. Ms. Bernard has completed extensive clinical training as an Nurse Practitioner (NP) and is currently practicing as a psychiatric NP, where her patient population range from children to geriatrics. Ms. Bernard has almost a decade of nursing experience, working as a medical-surgical registered nurse at Atlanta Medical Center and a case manager for Family Bridge Healthcare Services. Ms. Bernard also has 17 years of teaching and coaching experience and was a board of education member, where she directed national exams in Haiti.
Ms. Bernard is a board-certified nurse practitioner. Ms. Bernard is accredited with most of the Piedmont hospitals to provide psychiatric consults, works as a psychiatric clinician at Pinewoods Behavioral Health Systems, Riverwoods Behavioral Health Systems, Apex Family Healthcare Services, and Twin Lakes Recovery Center, where her patient population consists of children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Ms. Bernard is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
